About this Visa

• Eligible spouses will be allowed to receive open work permits while their PR approval in principal decision is made
• This is for the spouse or common law partner living in Canada
• Dependent spouse may/ may not be living in Canada at the time of application
• This visa is valid until the dependent spouse’s visa expires

Eligibility

• Should be a common-law partner of the main applicant
• Hold a valid passport
• An applicant should not have any criminal background
• An Invitation from the Sponsor i.e. the dependents spouse or the common law partner
• A proof showing the applicant’s relation with the sponsor

• Fill the relevant online application and print validated form
• Written confirmation from the sponsor that the spouse will be supported
• Apply for Permanent Residence
• Pay the application fee

• It is for an applicant whose parent is in Canada under the work permit
• This visa helps the dependent child study in Canada
• This type of visa is valid till the sponsored visa expires

• The child must be below 19 years
• Children over 19 years can be considered only with a mental or physical disability
• Hold a valid passport
