Federal Skilled Worker

About this Visa

• This visa is for the individuals and for their dependent family members who wish to live, work and study in Canada
• It is a Point based system, but there is no minimum qualifying requirement. The higher the points, the sooner the applicant will receive the invitation
• A Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) will be followed in order to assess and score a candidates profile
• Factors like skills, work experience, language ability, education will be included for the CRS
• A valid job offer from an employer will spike the points and ranking in the CRS. The job offer made should be supported by the Labour Market Impact Association. The maximum points one can score is 1200 points

Eligibility

• An applicant should be below the age of 50 years
• 1 year experience relevant to education out of previous 10 years of work
• An applicant should show work experience of full time / equal amount in part time
• A degree / diploma equivalent to Canadian education. This should be certified by a CIC approved designated body
• Proof of funds have to be shown
• Hold a valid passport copy.

Federal Skilled Trades Program

About this Visa

• Federal skills trade program is for people that want to become Permanent Residents based on being qualified in a skills trade
• To get certified under a skill trade, the provincial or territorial trades authority will assess training, trade experience and skills to assess the applicants eligibility to appear for an exam
• There is no formal education required to qualify under this program, however, the applicant will be able to claim education points if his education is certified by a recognized assessing body
• Skills trade program is classified under Major and Minor groups of the NOC which is further divided into different occupations included in NOC skill type B

Eligibility

• Should have at least 2 years of full time work experience in skilled trade within the past five years
• An applicant must prove that he has acceptable English/French language abilities
• An applicant should meet the job requirements for that skilled trade as mentioned in the NOC
• Applicants for the Federal skilled trade program should have a pre-arranged employment offer or a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province or territory
• An applicant should meet the health and character standards
• Proof of funds should be shown
• Hold a Valid Passport Copy

Quebec selected skilled workers

About this Visa

• It is for the Skilled foreign workers who wish to immigrate to Canada and use their education, skills, experience and other talents to benefit the society
• It is a points based system
• Some features include excellent quality of life, economic cost of living, safety and growing economy
• French is a common language spoken by over 80% of the population

Eligibility

• An individual should be a skilled foreign worker i.e. selected through Quebec and hold a Quebec selection certificate (CSQ)
• An individual should know French and hold a certificate
• An individual should have at least a diploma corresponding to a general or vocational high school diploma in Quebec
• The diploma must be granted during the five-year period before filling the application for a Quebec Selection Certificate or if the diploma was awarded more than five year before the application is submitted than an individual should have been worked at least one year in the particular occupation in the past five years to fill the application for a Quebec Selection Certificate
• An Applicant should get at least 55 points without Spouse and 63 points with spouse, based on age, experience, education, language ability, family in Quebec, spouse characteristics, job offer, children, financial stability and adaptability
• have acquired training and occupational skills that will facilitate your integration into the job market
• Hold a Valid Passport Copy

Canadian Experience Class

About this Visa

• This type of Visa is granted to those who are temporary foreign workers who wish to become a Permanent Resident
• It is for the applicants who are international graduates and for foreign workers in any part of Canada except Quebec
• Candidates should have gained experience in Canada with proper authorization
• Skilled foreign workers can be hired to meet labor needs
• Candidates can be selected from the job bank, private sector boards or provincial nominee programs

Eligibility

• An individual must Obtain at least one year of skilled, professional or technical work experience in Canada within 3 years of the application lodged
• Competitive English Proficiency
• CEC applicants could be working in Canada at the time of processing documents
• Plan to live and work outside of the Province of Quebec (individuals who plan to reside in Quebec may apply to the Quebec Experience Class)
• Hold a valid Passport copy
